I read of the Perris Jet confirmation during Summerfest 2007 and I have some questions.

-Will there be a 'reservation process' that includes deposits?

-Will there be specific 'departure times' throughout Summerfest? Or will jumpers need to just wait and see when they are called for Jet load such and such?

-Will there be a ground crew available to transport jumpers to Peru? Or will that be the jumpers responsibility?

Having never been to Convention I have no reference for how these things work.

Thanks,

Patty.

Hi Patty,

I can't answer all of those questions, but if you check the "Events" page on the skydivechicago.com website, there is a link for the Jet that allows you to register for a given day (and pay for the jump all at the same time)

http://www.skydivechicago.com/Events/tabid/109/Default.aspx?mid=589&ctl=EventDetails&EventId=3095

Other information about the Summerfest event can be found at http://www.sdcsummerfest.com/

If you have any direct questions that those links do not answer, give manifest a call.  There is a phone number at the bottom of the SDC Summerfest website.  Hope to see you there!

-Neil

I know that there is plenty of interest in jumping the jet, so here is some information on how the Jet jumps will be working:

- You can purchase tickets at Summerfest or in advance online at the following link:
http://www.skydivechicago.com/Events/tabid/109/Default.aspx?mid=589&ctl=EventDetails&EventId=3095

- There will be shuttles provided that take the Jet jumpers to the Peru airport. The Jet will then drop jumpers back into Skydive Chicago.

- Departure times will be at 10am and 5pm July 31 - August 5th. EXCEPT Saturday which will be 10am and 3:30pm. We will start loading the shuttles about 15 minutes prior to departure time.

See you at Summerfest!!

hey Rook,

You mentioned July 31 as the first day to jump the Jet.  Isn't it the 30th?

There is not a jump number requirement or license requirement. In fact, tandems can even jump from the jet (they do cost more though).

The jet will get into town on the 30th, however the first scheduled loads are not until the 31st.

the biggest requirement for jumping the jet is to have decent /currant. good condition gear EXIT SPEEDS ARE FASTER

rigs need to be on tight   fit well good pin protection NO OLD ANTIQUE stuff no belly mounts,

as i said good gear   its a blast did 2 last year at the convention  well worth it,,,

Rook,

The 31st?  When I went online and registered, it had Monday the 30th available and that is what I registered for.   Will that be pushed back?

Thanks,

Jeff

You will be able to use your ticket for any of the jet flights. The days are up just to give us an idea of how many people will be going on that particular day! We will still be manifesting for each jet load so be sure to do so!

Thanks,

Erin
