25 Aug 2007 1:32 PM Alert

I am looking for a Sony PC1000 camera and a cookie composites Liquid5 lens to borrow for about two weeks to experiment with the possibility of capturing 3d stereoscopic footage in freefall.  This stage of reserach is ground footage only - we just want to get a basic low budget 1 viewer at a time proof-of-concept before spending money on a high definition large audience solution.

Alternatively, any two identical camera / lens sets would work for the experiment as long as the two cameras can operate side by side 2 inches apart (no thick cameras); however i do want fish eye lenses to make sure that the wide angle will capture decent 3d images.  I've only suggested the PC1000 because I already have one myself.

I am hoping to find this equipment within the next week, as I have a volenteer who would manually crop and sync the two videos into one 120Hz interlaced video; which is the first step in a variety of 3d viewing methods; but I don't know how long his offer is for :)

Thanks,

Matt
