Merry Christmas everyone.

My son, Casey, was featured in a newspaper article today. The story was about his life and skydiving. There are two ways to access the story if you are interested. www.napersun.com under the sports section " Learn to fly." Also, you can just google Casey Deegan and the story pops up.

All of you at SDC have been wonderful to Casey. He looks forward to our weekly trips to the DZ mostly because of the way he is treated. The fellowship of our sport goes way beyond our jumping. I want to thank you all for your acceptance of Casey. It means a lot to him as well as to me and my family.

I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Blue skies,

Mike Deegan

Hey all,
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and looking forward to a great New Year. I want to personally thank the Deegan family for the extra fun they've added to my skydiving experience. I have taken Casey on five of his six tandems, Sparky did one with Casey. It has been a pleasure working with Casey on the skydives, and I am looking forward to many more. Being a part of Caseys' success has given me the opportunity to ride his coat tails into the news articles in the local papers. I want to thank Deegan (Mike) for his generosity. Mike is an awesome guy and he is the perfect addition to the dropzone. He has brought more publicity to Skydive Chicago over the past year than anyone I know. He is always there to help in any way possible. He has brought many newcomers to the tandem table also. Deegan is a true skydiver. Deegan and I will be going to Crosskeys (jan 3rd-6th) and we are looking forward to seeing our Skydive Chicago friends and meeting new Crosskeys friends. See you soon.

Crosskeys might be kind of cold this time of year, being that it's in New Jersey.  I'm thinking that you're going to Sebastian.  Have fun!  I wish that I was going to be there.

Casey is awesome.   I remember once over the summer a relatively new belly jumper was looking for someone to jump with i said "hey, go find Casey's dad, he's a belly flyer."  I knew who Casey was but couldn't remember your name.  I guess you're riding on Casey's popularity.

Seriously though, seeing Casey's excitement for the sky is way cool.  Look forward to seeing both of ya next year.

Sunshine,

Not a new problem. I transitioned from being Mike to Casey's dad about 20 years ago.
