OK I know I have said this before, but summer is here!!

Another great week at SDC.  We were cranking out the AFP jumps all week.  Congratulations to Patrick Cooney, Marty Dominik, Matt Meyer, Brian Cole, Chaz Hinkle, and 
Sam Bierlein who all graduated the AFP program and achieved there ‘A’ license.  They were a good group of guys and we had a great time having them here.  The next AFP in a week is scheduled for June 27- July 6th.

Saturday we woke up to great weather and a big tandem day.  It was a little breezy but it didn’t stop too many people.  Max was out putting up some 20 + ways, and David and his Tandem Team were working like clockwork.  Mike Wittenburg and Keith Nugget were busy organizing. 

We also did 3 demo jumps into Heritage Harbor, the new marina in Ottawa, throughout the day.  Thanks Kirk for the awesome fly by!

The tiki bar was rocking again on Saturday night.  It’s really nice to be outside again.  I’m working on putting a new stereo out there as we keep blowing up the one that’s there.  Also, the TV is coming soon to watch daily videos. 

David and 30EA were at Midwest Freefall in Michigan.  This was our last Otter contract until the fall.  This means less waiting time to jump and more jumps!  

Hopefully in two weeks we will have a Porter here.  We have to hang a motor on it, but that shouldn’t take too long.  For those of you that have never seen a Porter they aren’t the most beautiful planes but they are workhorses. 

Coming up this weekend is the New Wave Boogie.  On The Fly hosts this event geared more towards new jumpers.  There will be small RW ways to help build fundamental skills.  If you are interested be sure to be here by 9am Saturday.

Also Mike Wittenburg and I will be organizing VRW dives.  If you are interested in being on some VRW jumps be at the hanger at 9am. 

Roger Ponce will be stopping by June 12-15 for some 40 ways.  Mandrin and their 4 ‘farm’ teams will be training during this same time period.

Guy Wright will be in town June 27- 29 for his Diamond and Jewels event.  This event is limited to 36 people and slots are filing up.  If you are interested please contact manifest ASAP.

Cabins are going like hot cakes; if you want to use one for an event please contact Manifest soon.  The power company came out this past week and hooked up the power so they are ‘juiced’ up.
