Your First SDC Summerfest?

Before you arrive, take a few minutes to watch our Drop Zone Landing Briefing so you’re ready to jump at Skydive Chicago. We have a large landing area, but it’s important to understand our landing zones, left-hand pattern procedures, and any obstacles to be aware of. Watching the briefing in advance will help speed up your check-in process and get you in the air faster.

Click on “Summerfest Tips” below for insider advice on how to get the most out of your SDC Summerfest experience. Get pro insights, plan ahead, and get ready for an unforgettable week.

You can also check jumprun, winds aloft, cloud coverage, and ground winds directly from your smartphone by clicking on the “SDC Info Board.” Stay informed and maximize every load.

DZ Briefing

Every skydiving center has its own unique set of rules and guidelines that differ from drop zone to drop zone. It is important to take note of the following information when jumping at Skydive Chicago:

Licensed Skydiver Requirements >

You must be 18 years of age or older
You must be a current member of USPA holding an A-License or higher
International skydivers must have a USPA membership (temporary memberships are available) and your country’s A-License equivalent or higher
You must have a current logbook (Electronic versions such as a ProTrack or Burble account will work as well)
You must have a reserve packing card for each rig you wish to jump that is in-date per the FAA 180-day requirements.
AAD’s ARE REQUIRED AT SKYDIVE CHICAGO
Must be current according to USPA recommendations. If you are not within currency guidelines, you can schedule a REFRESHER. Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee instructor availability
